| Topic: Memory usage is huge for small apps! Help |
| Name: Ingolf |
| Body: |
Hi
I've created a simpel delphi program, consisting of 1 form. It uses 1 timer, and a filedialog. It has a few labels and editfields, and a memo. Code is very small, and so is data size:
Project Information Datasize: 7465 bytes
When its running in winxp, it uses 3.1mb of base memory!!
When minimized if falls to 500-900kb.
How can i reduze this huge consumtion of memory? I have tried with the 'ole', but it did not help. Is there any guide or tricks to reduce memory consumption. I am sure there are no memleaks. The 3.1mb usage is just when the program is started, and virtually none of my code have been executed :(
Please help
Using Delphi 7.. will try later in Delphi 3, too see what that brings. |
